HAND SHAPE
The hand shape is quite different from left to right!?> Both I feel are more fire hands than anything else, although the right hand has a certain earthy look to it with the lunar and Mars Mount on the percussion side producing a very practical and physical nature. In fact looking now at the left hand it’s got an AIR feel to it with the fingers looking quite long in comparison to the hand.
If sticking to my first thought, FIRE hand – this makes for a very active, goal oriented, passionate and energetic person…
Yes, the hand shapes do look different, but I measured the widths on both hands and found them to be of equal length. How interesting it is to see that the mounts can change the apparent shape of the hands.
I agree that this person has Fire qualities, even though these aren’t pure Fire hands.
I would say Fire too. Fire can have square palms too. I think she has too much going on in her palm to be typically an Earth palm.
Hmmm. it’s more an air hand, I think. The fingers are long and the palm squarish, though more so in the passive palm. THere’s this little bulge at the beginning of the water line, which gives it more squareness. Massive difference between the right and left hand. Left hand’s lines are messy, and dominated by water line, so a highly neurotic person underneath, particularly with the earth line being so weak. This is someone who’s obsessed with getting well and with diet, probably who will eventually come to develop a much more stable lifestyle after trying everything from mung bean to donkey dung diet, ha-ha!
I myself have a very similar busy hand and find adding a little spirulina to my donkey dung quite invigorating!
My hands look similar to these prints. I have had adrenal fatigue, and then I went into menopause. My nervous system has been very stressed and my hands reflect that with a lot of “messy” lines. This person’s hand could also be a reflection of a physical health issue.
I do know this person, but am not that acquainted to know details of any health issues. I do know they have an incredibly stressful and draining job in the child care/welfare sector.
I think this person is living her life but subconciously she wants to be different. All those active mounts- loop of humour, serious intent and a possible Rajah loop and a Loop of Imagination. A lot of conflict and frustration.
Hey Lizzy, yes a lot of conflicting interests and impulses. Would this tend to put a over-all strain on the mind and body do you think?
I am a newbie palmist and would like to understand how this hand could be an Air hand. The appearance of the hand does have a squarish look but when you measure the width and length of the palm, they are not square. When I measure the fingers they are average in length. I would then conclude that this hand is more of a Fire hand. I may have this all wrong, so please comment.
When we trace a palm the pen can be angled in such a way to make the hand look wider than it is in some areas. This could be why the hands look different. David, if you know this person, could you tell us what the hand shape is?
Hey again Lori.. seems like just you and me on this at the moment, some of ‘the others’ could join the debate! Not an easy pair of hands to decipher the shape, but I do stick with my first and your opinion of them being predominantly fire. They are not text book, but the fingers in relation to the palm are not long enough in my opinion to be ‘true’ air. To this end, it’s like I was saying the other night to the others, it’s almost like having a subordinate nature linked in with the predominant trait.
How about: on the surface and publicly (RH) they are very active and goal setting (Fire) but cautious and careful (with fingers held together) – privately (LH) they are more frenetic and ideas based (Air) and allow themselves to let go a bit and express themselves more when in the comfort of friends and loved ones (open poise of fingers).
This subject, like a person, is very complex and full of paradox and riddles, and it’s not wise to jump and adhere to fixed conclusions?
Thank you for your contribution and scholarly questioning.
FINGERS
The index finger on the active hand appears to be longer than the ring finger. This suggests that this person has self-confidence, is ambitious, determined, with leadership qualities.
I agree Lori, it is very dominant, like its attributes. The strength of this finger is often an indicator of this person having to fulfill a dutiful role within the family early in life. Having a sense of responsibility to others through an absence of a parent for example.
The little finger looks a little longer than the first phalanges crease and a bit low set = giving a loquacious nature to this person, a ‘chatterer’ possibly; enjoyment of language and someone who gives/receives verbal information easily.
I agree and she has a very stiff thumb, which could mean she is reserved and hiding herself from the world. I also found her full first phalanges in the Saturn and Apollo fingers very interesting- conflict between responsibilities of work v the self.
Finger tips- I have never seen any like these before!!! I looked it up in Frank’s book and she ha Loop arches- which is “…. versatility and skilled but have great trouble settling down. The perpetual student and may have difficulties completing a task”
EARTH LINE
A nice continuous line on her right. Independently minded and teenage conflict but very loving person, as surrounds large Mount of Venus. A bit of a waver around 45 years- not as strong maybe going on to do unconventional job. Insecurity. Whereas on the left hand, there is a lot of blocks`islands’ frustrations ….
